rivers and roads, rivers til I reach you. (image heavy)

This past weekend, Mike and I took a little trip to his hometown of Cairo, NY. For those of you who don't know where this is, it is located in upstate NY, amidst the Catskill Mountains. I love visiting there - turning off our phones, embracing nature (we saw 3 deer this time!), and getting some fresh mountain air.

We celebrated Mike's brother John's 40th birthday, hiked Katerskill Falls, had lunch at the sweetest organic cafe, took a stroll down Main Street to see "the Cairo Bears", and spent some real quality time with the fam. I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking.... :)

The tree stands alone. I love this picture. We drove by this tree once, and I thought about it all day. The next time we drove by, I made Mike pull the car over so I could save this memory.

Made it, hiking stick in tow.

I am on top of the world!
