Thinking about Halloween costumes for this year...
and wondering how we are going to top the last 2 years.....

Over the weekend we made a trip to Belkin Farm in Natick to go apple picking as a family! The apples were few and far between, but came home with a few bag-fulls. We also got some Asian Pears which were yummy! I think Mike and I will make a trip to the Big Apple soon for some hot cider and pumpkin picking :)  Sunday was really hot, and not the best Fall-ish day.  So! next time I want to bundle up in a coat, scarf, and mittens and sip hot chocolate while cuddling on a hay ride... is that too much to ask?

I don't think so.

 Little stinker.

He's smiling! No for real, the woman told him to smile for the camera :)

Fall is my very favorite season. I can't wait to go apple picking again!
(on a chillier Fall day! :) )

Teacher, teacher!

I was inspired by some of the blogs I read to do a "sneak-peek" into my classroom. This is my 6th year teaching, but my first year in public schools. I truly could not be happier!  I have the most amazing co-workers, support from administration, and the best class of kids around. Here are of few of the things that lift me up each day and that keep me going...

The school building as a whole is really nice, and I love walking in to the artwork from students posted in the entryway.

 Flowers from my love....

 Uplifting quotes...

 My lil cactuses :)

 Inspiring posters around the room...

Our "reading nook" with so much ELA curriculum it's out of control (in a good way)

Fun but challenging games for my students....

 Cute apple wood calendar...

Life skills class... where we get to cook yummy treats like these gluten-free rice krispies treats!

Our huge beautiful gym, where the kids can run off some of their energy in the afternoon...

Something I cannot live without: paperclips.

I am already loving this year, and I hope it continues to go smoothly!
and I leave you with this.....

Chicago

Mid- September we went to Chicago for a Polish wedding! I had never been to one before, but had been forewarned that I was in for a good time! Mike and I flew in on a Thursday night, spent the day sightseeing and eating deep dish pizza downtown on Friday, dancing out hearts out at the wedding on Saturday, and stuffing our faces/recovering at the after-the-wedding-party Sunday. It was a whirlwind of a weekend, but we had a blast. I am so glad we went, I have always wanted to visit the windy city!

Polish treats!
 Us headed downtown!

In the skytower in the Willis Tower!
THE BEAN! Do you see me?

My favorite part of the city: amidst all of the hustle and bustle is a little garden, quiet, and out of sight from the main streets of the city. Love! <3

The beautiful couple walking into church. Polish couples see one another before the ceremony. They had a blessing at the grooms house, and then head to church together. It is really sweet and personal.

Walking back out as MR. & MRS!
Polish meat stand, I have never seen so much meat in my life!
 My handsome date and I.
 Such a unique cake.
 Us and the lovely couple.
We had a great time! Can't wait for my next Polish wedding, just gotta brush up on my dance moves ;)
